Hi Folks,
I've been able to access redhotjazz.com but with a puzzling problem: If I select a disc to play, sometimes it will play and sometimes it will open a Google Search page for redhotjazz.com. It's pretty frustrating and might be connected to another problem I've had since I downloaded Mesh. Without offering any options or warning, Mesh embedded itself on my browser (Outlook Express) took over my default browser page (set to Google), so that when I entered a search command in Google, it diverted me to a Mesh search page with stacks of its pre-selected choices. This meant that actually finding what I was looking for was much harder, as Mesh was superimposing its search criteria on Google's.
I got thoroughly p**sed of by it and uninstalled the Mesh application and icon, but it's still there in the background and, in some instances, is hi-jacking my "play" instruction on the redhotjazz website and diverting me to a Mesh search page (which looks like a Google search page, but without the Google name or logo) with its pre-selected sites. Most of these are sponsored links for retail sites like Yahoo Shopping and none of them offers a link to my selection on the redhotjazz.com website. I got redhotjazz to play some Armstrong discs no problem, but every time I try to access Bechet's Chant in the Night and some Adrian Rollini sides, I get a Mesh page offering me tens of thousands of hits for redhotjazz.com, none of which has anything to do with what I was looking for.
Is anyone else having this problem? Failing that, does anyone know how to sue Mesh for uninvited intrusion? It seems a charge of unlawful breaking and entering might be appropriate.
Cheers from an increasiingly enraged Ken Mathieson
