[Dixielandjazz] For those who are going to Sacramento this weekend

You might not know much about one group who will be playing at the
Festival this year - The Tin Men. They are a trio from New Orleans
(although the Sousaphone player Matt Perrine is originally from
Sacramento) who play a very interesting take on New Orleans roots
music.

If you have been following the Treme show on HBO or are aware of the
various "Hot Brass Bands" of New Orleans you might be familiar with
Matt - he is an amazing Tubist and this group is taking the NOLA music
tradition in some very interesting directions.

So, when you are figuring out your schedule, don't be afraid of something new!

(and if you also happen to see the California Repercussions on the
streets of Old Sac be sure to give a listen, too!  I will be there in
the bass section both Friday and Saturday.)
