Dear Kaye et al.,
 I am sorry to have accused you of making money offf of STJS. I realize that many people have strong opionions about the evolving business of music festivals. I am one of many trying to help us all survive in this crazy world today. I am very passionate about keeping OKOM going on in to the future.
I just wish that people would temper what they have to say. I agree and apologize for not doing just that.
 I am just a feeling person who works and tries so hard to keep the show going and relevent.
 I felt attacked and I reacted. I apologize mea culpa.

I left out a sentence - I got chewed out by someone who doesn't know how some things work.

Here is my reply - wouldn't want any misunderstandings:

"Well, I did leave out a sentence. The fee for the Band is about $.30 a 
piece  to make up the badge.  So I have no understanding of how you 
thought if we didn't come you would be saving money? "



This is from "chew-Outs"statement: I have problems with performers who come and make money at our festival
for years, and then turn around and publicly, call us stupid. 



Well, My Dear - We don't make any money, we don't get paid!- We spend it to help you.  

You don't pay meals, housing or money to get there, So please change your attitude about the groups who play for free for you. 

Most of us play other instruments, in the music world and  make money in
other cities and/or have real jobs in the entertainment world



My thoughts are those of a very many who come to the festival - however I
seem to be the only one who will say what they think.  I fell like I'm 
the real American - Free speech for everyone. I grew up this way on a 
farm in Nebr. 



I suggest you look up the players, see who they are & where & what they do other than Sacto. That includes the other groups who help you out.

Here is another choice statement from the e-mail:
"The washboard concert has always been a "Novelty Group" nothing to be 
taken too seriously. In fact in 37 years I have Never attended a 
"washboard concert" with so much quality music available, I just could.nt
justify the time for it. I don't mean to be rude, but we do "invite 
musicians" to participate at our festival, and you have a choice to join 
us or not. .======
