JULIE JULES of New Orleans graces our Jazz Sunday stage
May 8, 2011 • Noon-5pm  •  Happy Mother's Day!
Dante Club in Sacramento, CA
New Orleans native Julie Jules has performed as a vocalist with New Orleans musicians
Sam Butera, and the Dukes of Dixieland, and with Big Tiny Little, Dick Dale (Lawrence
Welk Show), and Tommy Newsome (The Tonight Show Orchestra).  She opened her own jazz
club in the French Quarter called "A Salute to Satchmo."  Since losing her club to
Hurricane Katrina, Julie has taken her "Salute to Satchmo" show on the road to officially
promote Louisiana Tourism worldwide. "Let the good times roll!"
SET 1 at noon: Syncopating Sea-Monkeys from River City H.S.
SETS 2 and 4: Julie Jules will be joined with locals Chuck Bond, Kristy Reed, 
Bob
Williams, Brandon Au, John Wilder, Bob Ringwald, Nahum Zdybel and others.
SET 3: Jay Paulus' Society Band.
Jazz Sunday: $8 for members and $12 for non-members. 
Student members (age 12-20):
$5; student non-members $7. Under 12: free.

at the Dante Club.

CAMP NEWS - Katie Cavera will teach banjo/guitar at the adult
camp, and Curtis Brengle (from the Side Street Strutters) will be teaching piano
at both camps, along with Jason Wanner.
