[Dixielandjazz] The Mills Brothers

Sorry for you in US that you do not have access to Spotify, as far as I
know. You should have it in Australia. I checked the available number of
free MP3 Mills Brothers recordings for download. It was a couple of hundred
tunes. Diga-Diga Do was there both with Ellington and also with Armstrong.
Great recordings. But hopefully the recording industry in US stop blocking
Spotify in near future. There are thousands of great early jazz recordings
available on Spotify in a very user friendly way. For me it is one of the
best and quickest sources for jazz tunes on the net together with the more
complete Redhotjazz archive. Unfortunately the Redhotjazz archive use the
Real audio format and have a lousy tune search engine, if any, which makes
it more difficult to find and download tunes and convert to MP3.

As luck might have it, that very number (from 1928) is downloadable in MP3
format at Amazon.
However, the last time I downloaded something from there (to send it to Bob
Ringwald) it got lost. I'm sure it's floating around somewhere in my PC,
but I haven't the slightest idea where.
