How's Jonathan Russell doing?

Love that combination of Anthropology and Lady Be Good with the BIG  
BOYS. A mixture of OKOM and the dreaded bebop. <grin>

He is also doing the Gypsy Jazz thing with Jon Burr (Grapelli's  
bassist for 10 years) and guitarist Howard Alden. Mostly in NYC but  
they will be at the Princeton Jazz Feast on September 11.

And he's been playing with cult figure, singer, accordion and piano  
player Phoebe Legere at the Iridium every month or so. That's got to  
be a FUN gig for a 15 year old. I'm jealous
