[Dixielandjazz] Hearing loss in musicians

While the book will not help any of us who have already lost some  
hearing, I highly recommend "Music, The Brain, and Ecstasy" by Robert  
Jourdain (William Morrow, 1997) which has an excellent chapter on the  
physiology of hearing. The entire book is an informative and  
entertaining read for musicians, and might help prevent future hearing  
loss.
