Dear Ron,
Spot on. "That Haunting Melody" was Jolson's first record for Victor (22 Dec 1911).
Followed by four more discs up to March 1913 and his move, in June that year, to Columbia.
He left Columbia for Brunswick in March 1924 up to his last record date in December 1932.
Then nothing, as you say, until his 'comeback' in the 1940s.
