I just got Steve's and Clive's messages in my in-box and neither was 
there 2 hrs ago!

2 days ago an email took over 7 hours to get here from Bath(UK) 60 miles 
away
On the same day  I'd had a 4 email "conversation" with friends in 
Connecticut within an hour so Clive shouldn't feel ignored:-)

If none of the Parisians come out of the woodwork all I can suggest is 
doing an on-line search or buying Le Spectacle .... weekly listing.
There wasn't much traditional jazz when I was last in Paris but things 
change and it was a few years ago,
Caveau de la Houchette used to be the best known but I'm not sure what 
their music policy is now.
