I .for one, am fed up with the same (All Star Bands) every year. There are so many bands all over the states playing almost in every city & playing Dixie & Jazz. Not progressive Jazz - our Okom.

The only way the festival people advertise is in the American Rag, which is great but how do the new bands now about it? There's alot of people who love Dixie- don't know where to find it.  I never saw the Orange county  festival advertised any where. It's free in the local "pick-up" papers, it's free on Tv on the "What's happening this weekend, or next or etc." there isn't an add about the Sweet & Hot anywhere and it's next weekend.

The festival directors don't seem to know the bands around their own towns - only the ones that they know from  years ago.  There are new ones out there. Go & Listen.

I liked your Zydeco, as you call it (really mostly Bluegrass) but it's time to look around. There's bands like him everywhere.

We have a crowd of 30 to 50 people, That's all the resturant holds, every Tues & Thurs.
Been there 15 yrs & other places that long too. We have new people finding us all the time. Young ones too & we have lots of kids that are learning & love it. Take Chloe for instance.
There's a lot more, but I'm tired of fighting. Sometimes as they say "You just can't fix STUPID".
You can't bring in new & younger & older people if they don't know about it!
