I am with you here, Steve.  I watch, or at least - listen to - all his
videos you post, and am always amazed at his talent.  Shortcomings?
Didn't Eddie Condon advise the very young Bob Wilber: "Kid, make
mistakes?"

Does he?  They have a joint LP, "Venupelli Blues," and I've never felt
tha one outshines the other.

I agree, except that I expect something defying definition - a "hot"
sound.  But I don't expect anybody to sound like BG, Armstrong, Hodges
- or Grappelly.
