Well, summer is nearly over and the West Sac Orchestra will start up again on Tuesday night 7 pm, August 23rd...we need instruments there too...trumpets, trombones, tuba, strings, etc.

I'm looking to form a group for musicians who want to play  traditional or dixieland type of charts, like we used to hear at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee.  I know all about the Sacramento Jazz Club, but prefer to try something on our own for West Sacramento...I know there to be missing opportunities to play for money here...government, corporate etc.  

I have over 80 original handwritten arrangements from the former Lu Watters Yerba Buena Jazz band featuring a two cornet configuration of the San Francisco style jazz music.  I'm looking for all instruments including; trumpet, cornet, trombone, tuba, clarinet, banjo, piano.

We will initially meet at my home in Southport and begin practicing and playing in a public venue so that we always have an audience and they can share in the music making process.
