Since the bugle subject has been hot on DJML this weekend - how about
a recording of two bugles from ancient Egypt?

the sound clip is in the black box halfway down the page. ( there is
no written music from the time, so the bugler just played what sounded
right for the horns, I guess.)
BTW, I have a LP recording from the Danish Museum of Bronze Age "Lurer
(or Lur) Horns" - found in bogs around northern europe.
