Didn't see any mention here of the current version of the Cab Calloway
Orchestra, led by his grandson, C. Calloway Brooks. "CB" has the original
book of arrangements, and leads the band, singing and conducting, and even
wears a zoot suit. All part of the fun and an authentic music and showbiz
tradition. Please see www.cabcalloway.cc/ for more info about their
activities.

Over the past 5 or 6 years I've done occasional gigs with CB and the
Calloway Orchestra in the NYC area and around the states, and in 2005 we
played the grand opening week at the Tokyo Cotton Club. A lot of the guys
are also in the Basie and Ellington bands, the level of musicianship is very
high, and we always have a great time.

It's a kick to play those arrangements live...I would encourage anyone to go
and hear the band if they're in your area. And be ready to sing along with
Hi-De-Ho etc, etc.

Best regards!
Larry
