Here are two articles from current NYTimes which may be of possible
interest.  Human interest story on classical violinist Anne Sophie Mutter.
She has been married to Andre Previn.  Now divorced but, according to the
article, they're still friends and he is helpful in advising her about her
career.

 

Other story is about jazz pianist Brad Mehldau and his performing in the
classical, or near-classical area.
