Superjazzfan Mike Lynch of Pensacola forward this note from NYT book review
indicating that Terry Teachout's biography of Louis Armstrong, "Pops"  and
Robin Kelley's biography of Thelonious Monk are now out in paperback.

 

As a tip, before you purchase the paperback, search used book sites---
bookfinder.com  is one  which searches several used book sites.  Amazon also
sells used books-and you might find a hardback copy for price less than the
new paperback.
