I'm sending this link to Doug Ramsey's blog, Rifftides in the Arts Journal.
Senior jazz saxophonist James Moody has pancreatic cancer and elects no
treatment.  Ramsey has some videos and other interesting material, including
comments about late pianist Hank Jones.  I hope you will find it of
interest.  One may subscribe to Arts Journal, then go to Music section and
see various interesting blogs, including that of our listmate (M&JF) and
President of Jazz Journalists Association, Howard Mandel.

 

(Thanks to a couple of you who inquired about my health.  It's fine.  I was
visiting son and family in Denver area for a few days, sans my computer.
Hence, the lack of posts.  Now I'm back at the computer and piano
keyboards.)
