[Dixielandjazz] "Shout Band Music"

Hi all,

Over on the TubaEuph list the subject of a musical style from some  
rural Black churches in the deep south called "Shout Band" came up -  
the form is sort of traditional jazz, call and response, riffs, and  
trombone driven gospel. Not exactly OKOM, but close enough for me!


There is a compilation CD of some of the bands here:
