OMG...way too funny! An ego comes with paying the drums, but Buddy Rich,
 although a great technician, isn't anywhere near the top of my list. 
Krupa was definitely one of my favorites, but does anyone remember my 
mentor Buddy Dean from 
Washington, DC? He played with Wild 
Bill Whelan and many others. One of the most tasteful drummers 
I've ever heard and a master with the brushes. He played in stocking 
feet (and so do I!).
