I spent one evening on Bourbon Street in 1957.  I was 17, and was with my
Mother.  We heard Santo Pecora's band at the Famous Door.  My mother's car
was broken into while we were there that evening, and all of her clothes
were stolen.  I was travelling in a separate car (driving from Los Angeles
to St. Pete on my own...a very long trip hauling a trailer at 55mph!), but
my car wasn't robbed.  Loved the band.  Bought an LP of the band. Still have
it. Also have an LP with George Girard, Bourbon Street Six.  Didn't see him
live, though.
