The "Lonesome Road"s are most definitely two different recordings.

Connie Parsons on my 45 I would almost swear to be white, with a kind of Kay
Starr quality to her voice.  I would be even more certain that the vocalist
on the CD version is black.

Also, the CD definitely has the presence of both a clarinet and trombone,
both missing from the recording we know is 1958 and further supporting that
the personnel listing on the CD might actually be correct and the date of
1947 might be as well.

I'm stumped for now and I'm too lazy to go dig out my Nellie Lutcher
78s.....it's been a long day.

I believe it might have been Scarlett O'Hara who said, "I'll think about it
tomorrow".

Of course, anyone else paying attention is welcome to join in. Don't feel
like you have to leave Bill and I clinging to this raft alone.
