Reminded me of a conversation, to wit:
About a year ago Arnold Laubich complained to me
that he gave a lecture at Columbia University to Music Majors about
Art Tatum. (Arnold wrote Tatum's discography and was his good friend)
I responded "Hell, they probably never heard of Thomas Jefferson".
Arnold replied "So, who do you think is more important?"
