Dear Ginny,

If Walter C. Allen and Brian Rust are to be believed the tune was originally 
called "Froggie Moore" and was written by the Spikes Bros.and Jelly Roll 
Morton. It was copyrighted April 16th 1923.
I can hazard a wild guess that Fred Moore (who was very active at this time) 
could be the original source to the title.
