Dear friends,
I knew the reason, but not this simple 'cure'.
Kind regards,
Bill.

For those of you who have a problem with some clips starting and stopping please read below and pass this on.

Intermittent video playback is a common problem, which is almost always
due to a slow Internet connection. This results in the flow of data to
the computer being too slow, which in turn prevents the buffer from
being replenished quickly enough.

When the buffer on the computer is empty, media playback stops. The
thing to do here is to increase the size of the buffer so that the
effect of network congestion is less.

Assuming 'Windows media player' is your media player, go to 'options' on
its 'Tools' menu and click the 'Performance' tab, Deselect the default
buffer of 5 seconds, and in the box enter a higher figure - 10 seconds
to begin with.

See how you go with that. If necessary, keep raising the setting until
the problem is solved. It reduces the number of stops and starts on the
downloading video.
