funny thing, ears - they are kind of personal, aren't they?

But it was not just about the clarinet player - it was the band.
George Lewis went on to lead some great bands, with various more
compatible trumpet/cornet players.  My personal favourite bands are
those with Kid Howard, but I have quite a few records with others,
including kid Thomas.
As to Bunk, again - a matter of opinion - my favourite is the Spicy
Advice session, on a GHB LP, by now probably reissued on American
Music.
