I just picked up Honestech Audio Recorder 2.0
It has software, a small conversion box that connects to an audio source
via RCA plugs, and to the computer via USB 2 plug. It supplies the USB,
RCA-to-RCA, and RCA-to-3.5mm cables.
$59.00 from Micro Center,incl. rebate.

It records in .wav and .mps formats, includes editing software.

I haven't installed it, but perhaps someone out yonder can give us a review.
