I'm inclined to go along with that based on my sole exposure to his output, 
a TV show he did with a stonking big band about the Paramount Theater. The 
opener was, IIRC, a killer-diller rendition of Sweet Georgia Brown. Methinks 
I shall have to dig out the old tape I have of that.
