4th Annual Crab Feed
Join us January 30th for the 4th Annual Crab Feed & Silent Auction!  Enjoy an evening
of great music and dancing with three bands (TNT, Greg Willett, and Black Tuesday)
and eat till you're full of crab. Music starts at 5:30 and runs till 10:00pm at

The Trad Jazz Youth Band Festival
Happy feet! I've got those hap-hap-happy feet!"
Bring your dancing feet!  Trad Jazz Youth Band Festival celebrates its 5th anniversary
by culminating its daytime jazz ensemble performances with a new "Hot Jazz Dance
Concert" featuring Jason Wanner and the festival's All-Star Clinicians Band. For
this special event, the Music Recital Hall main stage inside the Capistrano Hall
building will shed its band shell and transform into a spacious dance floor for
Lindy Hoppers and swing dancers. There will be plenty of on-stage dance space on
the sides and to the rear of the jazz combo. Those who prefer to sit during the 
concert may also relax in conventional concert seating. 7:00 pm-8:30 pm following
the Awards presentation. Tickets can be purchased by calling the office at 916-372-5277.

Jubilee Featured Artist
Louis Ford & His New Orleans Jazz Flairs
Considered an integral part of the second New Orleans revival, Louis is a second-generation
musician. His father, Clarence Ford, was a phenomenal musician whose career spaned
three decades and performed with many great entertainers such as Fats Domino. Louis
comes from an impressive legacy of musicians which can be traced back to the Storyville
days. Like his father, Louis is an accomplished clarinetist and saxophonist and 
 truly dedicated to the preservation of jazz.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louis studied under professor Kidd Jordan at Southern
University in Music Performance. Louis graduated from Loyola University with a degree
in music education which he has built on to create a unique sound all his own.
He has performed with the likes of Joe Williams, Ruth Brown, and Harry Connick Jr.
as well as appearing on the The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The Tonight Show
with Jay Leno and MTV with Harry Connick Jr.
