[Dixielandjazz] Hello From Rich Sojka of Pinon Hills, CA

Hello Fellow Musicians,

 

I am interested in starting a Dixieland/Swing band in the high desert near
Victorville and Palmdale. I play coronet, trumpet, and flugel horn. I live
in Pinon Hills, California near Wrightwood, Victorville, Hesperia, Phelan,
Palmdale, and Lancaster.  I have checked out Victor Valley College and
Antelope Valley College and there does not seem to be much interest in
playing traditional jazz.

 

I am a retired scientist from Boeing. I just moved to Pinon Hills a year
ago. For the past 10 years I have been playing in the Cypress College,
Ventura College, Moorpark College, and Ojai Big Bands.

 

If anyone wants to jam and be part of a traditional jazz band in the high
desert, let me know. I have plenty of charts.
