[Dixielandjazz] Happy New Year, reply to Ginny

The British Bob Oliver introduced "I Never Knew" as follows: "I never
knew what a gal could do - until I had two of them in my band!"
One was a trombone player named Christine (cannot recall her surname
right now - but she played with other groups as "Christine with...),
the other one - a brass bass player!

When I find their names, I'll send them to the list.

Cheers

Our trombone player is the only woman in the Netherlands with a masters degree in Jazz trombone, but nobody invites her to help out when a bone player is needed. 2 years ago there was a trombone festival where a jazz piece with 60 trombonists was presented, she was not invited. .... Selena really is very talented....

What a dream I have; i.e., old timers such as follow this list along with me will make it their personal responsibility to figure out how they can personally turn one young person onto OKUM. Because I think we're mostly clueless as to how to create that phenomenon.
