Hi Bob,
I have a booklet issued to the American Forces when they were posted to the UK (or England as it was then).to help them be good neighbors.
It describes rugby as being `like American Football but much rougher and played without protective gear`

Many thanks for your correction - just shows how much I know about the Super Bowl (Superbowl?).
I have a film with Tom Hanks playing American football, so I've a vague idea about this game which seems to be based on Rugby League.
