[Dixielandjazz] Unusual mouthpieces (was: Tommy Dorsey on trumpet)

Some years ago we had a Bb tuba player who was always blaming his 
mouthpiece, and kept trying different ones.
At the time I was playing French horn, so I took the French horn mouthpiece 
(it's slightly smaller than a trumpet mouthpiece), stuck it in the tuba 
mouthpiece and played a scale from low Bb up to high F. The tuba player 
never complained about his mouthpiece again!
