Ah, now there's a good question!

As soloist, I'd say accompanying Charles "Buddy" Rogers on 27 Feb 1930.

Also, it's possible that Dorsey is the trumpet player on the Annette 
Hanshaw session of 21 Oct 1930 and it's claimed that he plays both 
trumpet and trombone on the the Dorsey Bros session of 14 Mar 1934.

Unless I'm way-off and he played trumpet on some of his swing era sessions.
