I think I see what happened. I'd typed the first e-mail with his age as 
83 and changed it to 82. I thought I'd cancelled the first one, but 
obviously not. My log says both e-mails were sent, so I don't understand 
why one arrived so quickly and the other has hung around for a week!
I was asked to play bass drum at Monty's funeral, but sadly the weather 
prevented it. I would have been playing alongside the great Colin Bowden.
