Dear List Mates,

I need your help to get the word out about the Traditional Jazz Youth Band
Festival. Thanks to a generous start-up grant from Chuck Huggins ( since
retired) at See's Candies, the festival is now celebrating its 5th
anniversary. Would you please share this information with school jazz band
directors, youth band directors, jazz students, jazz campers and your local
jazz club? This is a not for profit educational event co-sponsored by
Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society and Sacramento State University Jazz
Studies. If you direct a youth band, please consider participating in this
event. In contrast to a professional jazz festival, youth bands still have
fun while learning more about traditional jazz from leading jazz musicians
and educators. Our adjudicators award over $4,000 in festival awards and
scholarships.

Thank you!
