Hello all

I may have missed it, but I haven't seen on DJML a specific reference to
Gene Lees' book "Cats of any color" (Oxford University Press, 1995).

The book explores racism in jazz and is radical in treating the subject
fully - ie it includes discussion of such things as anti-white bias and
the "invisibility" of Native Americans. The final section, which
discusses Wynton Marsalis, is relatively well-known.

Well worth seeking-out.

All the best,
Anton
