    Yes, at first, it was the Disney  animators. Later members came from 
outside.
 

Their  leader, trombonist Ward Kimball, was the creator of Jiminy Cricket, 
who  introduced "When You Wish Upon a Star" on the soundtrack of "Pinocchio" 
by way  of Cliff Edwards.
 
    And don't forget that Ward and Charles  Nichols were the directors of 
the cartoon "Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom," the  first cartoon to be 
released in Cinemascope, and the Academy Award winning  cartoon for 1954.  The 
cartoon followed the evolution of instrumental music  in the early ages.
