A band leader in Massachusetts named Gary Bohan used that combination to
great advantage in an album called "Cornet Chop Suey".recorded in 1999

His group, called the Hot Vintage Jazz Band, which plays predominantly music
of the 20s and 30s has a fine guitarist named Jon Damian.

On the album referred to above, banjoist Jimmy Mazzy sat in with the
sextet. What also gives it a rather unique sound, although possibly frowned
upon by some tradjazz enthusiasts, is that his clarinetist, Ted Casher,
alternates on tenor sax.
