Thank you for that valuable info.
The Jay McShann LP I referred to last night, entitled "Last of the Blue
Devils", was recorded in '77 with Paul Quinichette & Buddy Tate on tenor
sax, Joe Newman, trumpet, John Scofield, guitar, Milt Hinton, bass & Jackie
Williams, drums
Among others, he does "Jumpin' at the Woodside", "Confessin' the Blues" &
"Tain't Nobody's Business If I Do".
I have a cassette kicking around here somewhere but I'm in the course of
doing some minor renovations and everything is kinda topsy-turvy.....don't
recall the recording dates on it...
And yes, I believe Pinky is John's third cousin, once removed.
