Good point. 

I agree with whoever it was (Chet Baker?) who said

"It takes a very good drummer to be better than no drummer at all."

With regard trad jazz from the 1920's, I wish more drummers and
percussionists understood that "less is more," and that big-band drumming
just isn't appropriate....
