Greatest Drummer in the world?

Anyone but Ringo...

There's another great gag about the Big Band in Heaven, where all the
deceased greats are gathered on the stage with their shiny new instruments:
Cootie Williams, Bobby Hackett, Louis, and just about every jazz and swing
musician who's no longer living.

At the back of the stage, on a huge riser, is a magnificent drum kit,
complete with floor tom toms and tympani, and a large collection of cymbals.

But there's no-one sitting behind the drums yet, so all the musicians start
to guess who it will be.

Gene Krupa, Max Roach, Buddy Rich???  Who???

Then the curtains part and Karen Carpenter steps forward and sits on the
drum stool.

'OK guys' she says. 'Close To You'...
