Up here in 'Merica we are in the middle of a 3 or 4 day weekend - they  
call it Labor Day (no "u") and it is supposed to be a time to honor  
the working people. It generally signals the end of Summer, even  
though some schools have already been in session for a while.

It is also supposed to end the season of white pants, white belts and  
white shoes  but that rule has been disregarded in some places...

Musically, seems like almost every band has forgotten all those great  
marching songs of the labor movement... how about a pageant in honor  
of James Petrillo?
