[Dixielandjazz] Jimmy Green

Most all of us  old-timer musicians’n groupies know Jimmy & Billie Green, 
dancers  extraordinaire ~ and of course Jimmy is renowned for his banjo 
strumming  formerly with The Jazzin’ Babies and currently as a regular member of 
the  Hyperion Outfall Serenaders.  He and Billie attend local clubs and 
other  gigs all over the US.   
Well, they got to  Pismo last Friday for the fest and Jimmy had to go to 
the hospital and return  home to be hospitalized.  Bob White (Hyperion Band  
leader) sends this message:  I talked to him just a few minutes ago and he is 
 scheduled for an operation this Friday at Torrance Memorial Hospital. The 
situation  involves blockage in his carotid arteries. He will have one 
corrected on Friday  and the second will be in about 4 weeks.
