[Dixielandjazz] Shai Brenner Sextet

 Hello Folks,
Below is a link to some Israeli jazz videos.
The sextet started not too long ago as "The Bechet Project."  Later it
became The French Quarter Five, and now, with a new trombonist (who also
plays with the New Orleans Fubction) - The Shai Brenner Sextet.
Shai himself was - perhaps still is - a bopper.  However, he seems to be
coming along.  At first he tended to play scales instead of music, but it
has changed.  his playing now is more in the Bechet mold that before.  He,
by the way, quotes the Israeli soprano saxophonist Jacques Sany as his main
influence on the soprano.  Worth listening.
