Dear Dick and others,
Or the better known Ben Pollack version with vocal by Pollack and
short solos from Eddie Miller, Benny Goodman and Jack Teagarden (21
Jan 1931).

For those interested, "Sing Song Girl" was composed in 1930 by James F
Hanley (of "Indiana' and "Rose Of Washington Square" fame) with lyrics
by Joseph McCarthy.
It was not composed for a stage or film musical, notwithstanding
Hanley's success in both fields, and would appear to be an addition to
the 'oriental' song list so beloved by Tin Pan Alley in the 1920s-30s:
"Limehouse Blues" Nagasaki", China Boy", "China Girl", "Chinatown, My
Chinatown", "Eygyptian Ella", "Siam", "My Little Bimbo", "San", "Oh By
Jingo"..........
"Sing Song Girl (Little Yella Cinderella)" is the full title. Try
naming a song that way today, with a verse and chorus using:
"In a little Chi-nee joss-house way downtown, where pig tails reach
the ground....
My sing song girl, my little yella Cinderella...."
Very kind regards,
Bill.
