I was listening to the Empire City Six yesterday and I have wondered for many years if there really was a trumpet player by the name Tony Spars. He sounds like Phil Napoleon for the most part. as a big fan of trombonist Harry DiVito and as Harry was a featured player with Phil Napoleon it does make one wonder.
