Dear Lowell,
Dare I suggest it, but can we blame Ralph Sutton, or the compilers of his various LP and CD albums over the years, for the incorrect naming of "Echo Of Spring"?
I have nine (9) recorded version of tune tune by Ralph.
(Which he also played often on his many visits to Australia.)
Four (4) are given as "Echo Of Spring"
and five (5) as "Echoes of Spring.
As already established from the sheet music in my files, it is a singular "Echo".
Unfortunately, musicians are a frequent unreliable source for the correct names of the tunes they announce/record.
Eg: "Panama/Panama Rag" discussed on the DJML recently.
There are many other examples.
That's why we need discographers.
<big grin>
Very kind regards,
