And then there's Vince Giordano who plays all three if I'm not mistaken.
And speaking of the bass sax, one of my favorite pieces of current bands
is Uptown Lowdown on Clarinet Marmalade, with dueling bass saxes. Love
it!

The original Dukes of Dixieland had the best of both worlds. They used a
tuba on the marches, etc., and string bass on the more swinging tunes.
