Hi Clive,

Couldn't resist a straight line setup like that! Later? See if you can find a fountain or two - ha ha ha - When I used to hit Rome, I told my buddies - "You can't walk 2 blocks without finding ANOTHER fountain!!!" It's a beautiful city and the food is incredible, but PLEASE be aware it IS a metropolitan area and tourists stick out like sore thumbs... BE VERY AWARE of pickpockets, there are TONS of them, everywhere... So travel VERY safe, stay away from less traveled areas and try to stick with groups if you can - lots of people around - watch your valuables - don't wear a Rolex - etc. etc. Otherwise, enjoy it - it really is a magnificent city!

ALL the Very Best,
Steve Heist

Hi Steve, sorry but I did forget you in my "thank you" note to the DJML boys to my Rome email. Your scholarly advice is thoughtful and appreciated but..........the program will be....

  1. Daytime : Sight seeing; checking out the Roman popsies on a "look but dont touch" basis: consumption of food and wine in industrial quantities

  2. Evenings : Jazz

  3. Later.... hmmmmmmmmmmm !! Any ideas ??

  Cheers mate

  Clive
