[Dixielandjazz] Jazz Etymology

I found a couple of references to some of what has been  interesting to me re 
the West Cost and jazz because it attempts to pull together  the baseball 
uses, the fact that Art Hickman's band was playing the area using  "Barbary Coast 
negro rhythms", Bert Kelly's claim that he took the term east,  etc.
